Abstract:?Conventionalproportionalfair(PF)schedulingachievesfairnessatthecostofthesystem’srateperformance.Suchfairnessischaracterizedbylong-term,andhencecannotguaranteethefairnessofsubscriberswhoenterthesystemtemporarilyorstayforjustashortperiodoftime.Inaddition,thedelayrequirementofreal-timeserviceuserscanhardlybemet.Inordertoremedytheaboveproblems,weproposeanadaptiveproportionalfair(APF)schedulingalgorithmwithglobal-fairness.ThebasestationdynamicallyadjuststheforgettingfactorinthePFalgorithmbasedonthedegreeofdispersionofalltheusers’schedulingprioritiessoastoinfluencetheupdateofusers’schedulingweights.SimulationresultsshowthatparedtoconventionalPFscheduling,theAPFcanachieveboththelong-termandshort-termfairnessandhighsystemsum-rate,andadditionallyguaranteegooddelayperformanceforusers’service.
